Monument Ridge is a Northern Virginia–based investment firm focused on acquiring and growing exceptional small and lower-middle-market businesses in the Mid-Atlantic and across the United States.
We partner with founders to ensure continuity, care for employees and customers, and long-term success—whether the business is locally operated or digitally enabled with a remote workforce.
About Us

Founded by Chris Greer, a former Army Special Forces officer with leadership experience at Amazon and in defense technology, along with over 15 years of real estate investing and management. Monument Ridge brings operational discipline, data-driven decision-making, and a long-term ownership mindset to every partnership.
Monument Ridge is led by Chris Greer and supported by a trusted operating partner with complementary experience across operations and investing.
Education
Chris is a Virginia native and graduate of local institutions, earning his undergraduate degree from James Madison University, where he commissioned as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer. After serving as an active-duty Green Beret, he earned his MBA from Georgetown University and later completed a Master’s in Data Science from the University of Virginia while working in the defense technology sector.

- Location: Virginia, DC, Maryland, or surrounding Mid-Atlantic. Open to U.S based remote or online businesses.
- Revenue: $3M+ (flexible for high-quality digital businesses)
- Profits (pre-tax): $600K - $2.5M
- Industries of Interest: Service-based or light industrial, business-to-business, government services and technology. Digital marketing, media, and online businesses with recurring revenue.
- Owner Profile: A founder looking to retire, partial step back, or a thoughtful transition while ensuring a trusted successor
